Image Resizer is for XP, if you're using an earlier
version of Windows it won't work.
Microsoft Imaging can convert between .jpg and .tif or
.bmp
Microsoft Paint can convert between .jpg and .gif or
.bmp
What format are your photos in? Converting from .tif
to .jpg might reduce the size by fifteenfold;
converting from .jpg to .gif by ~40%.
I sometimes use Resizer 2.7 (freeware by Peter Bone);
it and others are available here:
