For heads I get Jeff Denham to do them. $200 a pair exchange. When Clyde
Berg left Gene Berg to open his own business Jeff did Heads For Gene Berg
Enterprises. Good recommendation in my book.

Before you rip apart the engine you might want to do a few
diagnostics, oil pressure, compression.  Sounds like the rings are
worn though.

I think the general opinion regarding align-bore is that it is not
worth it because no one does it correctly on a type 1 case.  If you
have low oil pressure and you can source a new case that is the way I
would go.  If the pistons and cylinders are original you might want to
have the cylinders honed and install new rings.  For heads there are a
few good places that restore them to better then new condition.  A.J.
Sims (lowbudget), or Len Hoffman (HAM).
