Oh I absolutely love face time.
First reason: If you want to be on speaker phone when you're talking
to someone, using face time eliminates the typical cutting in and out
of speaker phones. The sound quality is great.
Second, As mentioned, great for getting remote sighted assistance.
I've gotten someone to read the controls on an unfamiliar radio, help
finding a dog toy, given tours of my house to people who likely won't
ever visit, and given my husband the thrill of seeing me as we talked
while I was out of town.
Way more fun than Skype. <grin.>

for the blind. Call up someone you know, point your camera at an
object, and let them tell you what your looking at. It may be a
great navigation tool when you get lost somewhere. Just call up your
spouse or someone else who may have some interest in you. aim the
back camera around your area, and have them tell you where you are.
It also works for identifying clothing and other items.
Has anyone else tried this?
