I totally agree with Veronica on this! I love FaceTime! Last week, when I got a Kindle, I had my brother do FaceTime with me to read my Kindle's Mac address, and some of the settings that didn't speak. He says the visual quality is much better than Skype. Definitely a helpful tool for blind people!

First reason: If you want to be on speaker phone when you're talking to someone, using face time eliminates the typical cutting in and out of speaker phones. The sound quality is great. Second, As mentioned, great for getting remote sighted assistance. I've gotten someone to read the controls on an unfamiliar radio, help finding a dog toy, given tours of my house to people who likely won't ever visit, and given my husband the thrill of seeing me as we talked while I was out of town. Way more fun than Skype. <grin.> Veronica At 06:47 PM 5/12/2012, you wrote: >I don't know if this has been discussed, but FaceTime is a great app >for the blind.
