So when using face time, I assumed it would switch to the front camera because you want the person you are talking to to see you. From the description, it sounds like you have control even when using that app, to somehow switch to the back camera. I haven't use FT yet. Unfortunately, my husband has an Android phone. But I have a good friend who is sighted who has an IPhone, so I could actually take advantage of her assistance on occasion.
