Also, depending on who your cell carrier is and how their Wi-Fi calling works, and if you have it set up, and set up to allow other devices to do it, you might actually be able to make calls on your old 5S. For instance, the other day I made a call using my iPad mini to a regular landline to a friend of mine who lives back east. My carrier is T-Mobile, and I have Wi-Fi calling set up. But I definitely made the call by telling Siri to call my friends phone number on my iPad mini, and it went through fine using Wi-Fi calling. Mary
