The jack is so archaic, but that’s just my opinion. Like I said in my previous post, the advancements that could come with a switch to the lightning port are enormous, but they could still offer an adaptor for people that want to use normal headphones. Lightning headphones are expensive, yes, but making a move right now gives people to adapt to change, since it’s inevitable anyway, so we might as well learn to adapt or stop complaining.
