What makes the head phone jack so archaic? How does replacing it with a
Lightning connector open up enormous possibilities?
Referring to people expressing their concerns over losing the headphone
jack as being bent out of shape is dismissive and rude. I don't think
any one is bent out of shape over this issue, but just as it's OK for
someone to have an opinion that a Lightning connected head phone is a
good thing, it's also OK for people to express their opinion that they'd
like the traditional headphone jack to stick around. No one on either
side of this issue should be dismissive or put down the opinions of others.

Lightning headphones are expensive, yes, but making a move right now
gives people to adapt to change, since it’s inevitable anyway, so we
might as well learn to adapt or stop complaining.

First off, we don’t even know if it’s going to happen, and second,
if Apple were going to do something that drastic, they’d surely

I personally would love to see a new approach to headphones,
preferably one that provides for better audio quality than what the
current jacks limitations due to it being analog can provide.
