Thank you Christopher! This is, and always has been the point of this list. -Open and friendly discussion of views centered around the iPhone.
As long as people are respectful and courteous, all discussions of legal topics are welcome here. Just because this is an iPhone-centric list does not mean that everyone here needs to be a fan girl or boy, or that everyone needs to like or agree with everything that Apple or the iPhone family is doing or becoming. >From the very beginning of this list, I have always welcomed constructive >controversy and free thought. In essence, stay legal; stay respectful and >everything is good. We need to be able to express ourselves and be fair to >each other about that. As I have said earlier around this particular thread, it looks to me as if people are behaving well in expressing their thoughts and feelings in a rational and constructive way. So let’s be open to this and fair about it. Just because we may or may not like the idea of a new headset jack is no reason to dismiss the concerns or thoughts of those who may not share those feelings. Please seriously bear this in mind. thanks a bunch for a great discussion. Have a nice weekend and a wonderful holiday season! Cheers! How does replacing it with a Lightning connector open up enormous possibilities? Referring to people expressing their concerns over losing the headphone jack as being bent out of shape is dismissive and rude. I don't think any one is bent out of shape over this issue, but just as it's OK for someone to have an opinion that a Lightning connected head phone is a good thing, it's also OK for people to express their opinion that they'd like the traditional headphone jack to stick around. No one on either side of this issue should be dismissive or put down the opinions of others. On 10/12/15 12:04, Daniel Miller wrote: > The jack is so archaic, but that’s just my opinion.
