Hi all, I haven't posted to this list in a very long time and so I lost my posting privileges, but Mark has kindly sorted things out for me.
Mary, you have my sympathies too. I also lost my folder structure, but I'm fortunate in that my library is much smaller than yours. I've made a start on recreating my folders, and in my case it's turning out to be easier than I expected: After the iCloud sync, at first not all my items were showing up in the No Folder filter, but when I came back to it later, they were all listed there. This meant that I could use the No Folder filter as my starting point, and the list got shorter each time I selected a group of items and moved them into a new folder. I believe you said that only a few items showed up in your No Folder list, but it might be worth checking it again, just in case it has rectified itself, as mine did. Incidentally, I share your delight at getting your Ivona voices back, as I also lost my Ivona voices when I installed a full backup from my iPhone 5s onto my new 6S. I was finally able to sort it out a few weeks before the update, but I had to back up the library and reinstall the app from scratch. If you want to talk about cursing, if I redo this whole structure, and then lose it again when I sync up to iCloud, you are going to be able to hear me all the way up in Portland from here in Eugene when the cursing starts. The worst thing about this deal, aside from the loss itself, is that in order to re-create the folders, I'm going to have to go through each and every item in all items each time I want to move things into a folder. That is because when you move things into folders, they stay in all items, just like what happens with Amazon Kindle. I love how iBooks does it. Move that sucker out of books, and it's really moved. So the next time you go through your big fat books list in order to move things into another folder, you do not have to see the items you just moved previously. I actually do see the merit of an all items folder. I just wish there were something equivalent to the iBooks "books" folder. After all, this is just a matter of index pointers. It's not like they are actually having several copies of each item.
