I am using ios10.2 and have my brail display since ios9 and have always felt this issue.

I've not seen this exact beghavior since very early in iOS 10. I ran a Braille Edge for quite some time and didn't see this. Again, in defense of HIMS, this issue was not unique to their braille devices as far as I'm aware. But in connection with ios, I feel that sometimes lettters and signs are skipped while typing. Just like some characters are swallowed while typing so that you can have a phrase like: the weather is nice today, the weathr is nce today.
