Hi.

I believe the time it takes for your phone to register a ring is dependent on
how good your WiFi signal and speed are. Mine is on an 8802.11ac 1900 network
and the response time is very acceptable. You have to be running the Ring app
on your phone which is what actually produces the ring sound. You can also
purchase a ring doorbell that plugs into any AC power outlet and also connects
to your WiFi which allows you to have a ring sound anywhere in the house you
would like. You can have several of these if you want.

The one issue I have with Ring is that when I tap on the notification, the
audio from the video feed comes out of the phone’s ear piece instead of the
speaker. Occasionally, it comes out of the speaker but not always.

The audio is actually quite good, you can easily talk to and hear the person at
the door.

Best,

Rick Alfaro

Subject: A Ring Doorbell Question

I'm considering the Ring Doorbell. Those of you who have it seem happy with
it. My question is: Do you find much of a delay from the time someone presses
the doorbell to when your phone rings. Does it actually dial your phone
number? or does it function as more of an intercom?

Thanks,

Karen P
