To make clear what I'm looking for, it's pretty simple: I need an app that can, at the very least, read already-created Word files. i need it to have basic reading and editing functions but to be focused primarily on word processing itself; I'm not interested in, for example, novel creation. I haven't experimented too much with Word or Pages but it sounds like I may need to try them. Scrivener is not something I'm willing to pay for, and it sounds like with Writer one can only create one document at a time.
So, perhaps there simply isn't an app that fulfills what I'm looking for out there.
