If you turn it up all the way you can just barely hear it on the recording. You could try to plug in an external speaker, haven’t tried this, but it may work. The funny thing is that when I follow your instructions and turn the microphone on,Voiceover goes quiet and I have to lock my iPhone 7 running iOS 11.2.6 to get it back. I seem to recall reading about an issue with the screen recorder and maybe I've just stepped into it. I really want to be able to use this feature to record video with the Voiceover audio but I'm either still leaving off a step or something is not working right. Thanks again. To turn it on, press hard on the Screen Recording button if you have 3D Touch, or double-tap and hold it, flick to Open Controls, and double-tap. You'll be able to turn the mic on on the screen that opens. Once it's on, it should be on for all future recordings unless you turn it off.
