This is the privacy trope companies and governments like to convince people with to give up the goods. It's ultimately a specious argument though. A discussion that probably goes beyond the parameters of this list though...

Not saying they actually do this, but I've long since believed fingerprints and retinal scans give the government the ability to find you pretty much anywhere you are and give them tabs on what you're doing.
