We've all got to make our own decisions on how we best spend our time and 
resources. So if Jonathan wants to say bye Felicia, then that's entirely his 
right. Again though, outside of his postings when he was promoting his books or 
projects or whatever, I really can't recall the last time he actually posted 
something to this particular list. While I do think his departure was overkill 
and rather on the dramatic side, again, entirely his right. Don't think it'll 
have much if any tangible affect though.
Sure, Mark likely over reacted, but as these last few days have shown, 
moderating is a thankless task...

say things we wish could be taken back...all of us...I don't care if your name 
is Mark or Seighardt  or Jonathan or David. For goodness sake people let this 
thing go and get back to assisting others with questions and answers about 
whatever technological topic is up at the time on whatever list you are on at 
the time.
I admit I have never been on a list with sighted people, but I truly hope that 
this childish behavior is limited to the a small portion of the blind community.

I haven't decided yet, but I don't think maturity has anything to do with it, 
it comes down to principle.
What really surprises me is that Mark posted what he did and never provided any 
further explanation or responded to any of the dozens of posts. He also didn't 
close the topic, but he posted two articles which would indicate that it's not 
a matter of him not having caught up with the list. I for one would appreciate 
a post from him regardless whether it's one where he maintains his position or 
one where he clarifies whether he has changed his opinion regarding this based 
on what was said. Just ignoring this doesn't help in making it clear whether in 
future it is OK to post anything which has to do with a service rather than 
directly with what button to tap in an app.
