Yes, my cards have chips too. That seemingly doesn’t matter. I’ve had to replace an Amazon card twice in as many years. And my Discover card got whacked a couple of years ago as well. It’s not because I leave it laying around or give it to somebody and they go off in a corner and do what they want.
