Hi Brent, As Raul pointed out, apps work differently for different users, I also found Digit Eyes to be very easy to use and have achieved good results, my problem is more that often it does not pull up a product even though it reads the barcode just fine because a lot of Canadian Safeway products are unfortunately not in the database because they use a different barcode because of the bilingual packaging. I wish there was a way to custom add products, hopefully in a later update this will be possible.
Also, keep in mind Brent that when you post that you highly advise against buying an app it helps a lot if you list specifically what makes you give that recommendation and what exactly you found didn't work for you with said app. I think any scanning apps are problematic because of their visual nature. It's like OCR apps, some people on the list have had rather good results with Prizmo, others with SayText etc. But just because you may not have gotten a good result with Prizmo in a particular situation doesn't mean it doesn't work. A few people even said they couldn't get any useable results with Fleksy and I'd say at least 9 out of 10 people or better just love the app and how easy it is to type with it.
