I've been using computers too long to be a fan of automatic anything where they are concerned. I prefer to have the final say on whether an app is updated in case it breaks accessibility or does something else untoward. Folks on this list are great at letting me know if an app update has a problem and I prefer to wait a bit before updating although I must confess that I've been executing that update all button more frequently than in the past because I've not experienced any negative updates as of late. Don't let my habits influence what works best for you, however.
