Definitely right, that she needs a means of communication like a phone can be. She can do most things on an iPhone with her voice other than closing apps and charging it. If you have a wireless charger, where she can lay the phone on it to charge, that is more like hanging up a landline phone. The phone does have to be positioned right to charge, but VoiceOver gives prompts for that.

And me as well as it pertains to the blind community. As far as I am aware, computers are not her thing. She is aware of them but through me only.
