And of course all Bluetooth devices typically have to be put in pairing mode if you use them for the first time with your iPhone. Some devices may have a dedicated button, others you have to push and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds after you turn them on and yet others may ask you to push something like volume up as you power them on. The fact is you just don’t know what it is unless you know the exact make and model of your device and look it up.

I now have a new iPhone that does not have a headphone jack. I happen to have a couple of pair a Bluetooth headphones that I have paired up with yet. By the way, you can get an adapter for these phones without headphone jack so that you can actually use regular headphones on your iPhone.
