Sorry, I don't know the correct term.  I mean the home key pushed with the
on/off button for about 10 secs.  When accessibility wrote back they
basically said I should not use it.  Luckily enough, I have not had anything
happen on my phone that turning it off and on can't fix, but it is a bug
definitely.  I think I was the second one to run into this, and because I
still struggle with iTunes, I cannot fix it with that program, thus waiting
for sighted help and sighted help that is young enough not to look at the
phone and hand the phone back to me in horror! LOLOLOL!

I think you guys are talking about a soft reset, yes? A hard reset
would be going into settings/general/reset and choosing "erase all
content and settings." That should naturally turn off VO although a
triple-click home should be all that's needed.

The soft reset, basically a forced reboot of the iPhone, definitely
shouldn't be turning off VO and this sounds like a bug if this is
happening to some of you.
