Hi, You will indeed get face feedback with the back facing camera.
One thing I've also noticed is you must go into the camera app itself and not the take picture button on the lock screen. I'm also really bad at taking pictures with it, (the girlfriend says I'm not), so, it might just have been me missing the mark all the time with the lock screen one. In fact, i'd bet that's the case. :).
