Here's hoping APH will reconsider their position on this (if indeed this is their position). I cannot imagine any technical restrictions imposed by Apple that would interfere with a blindness specific GPS offering. While there is surely a number of people with vision loss using Android, I would be surprised if it even comes close to the number on iOS. The data I have examined points to Android being "pretty good" in terms of accessibility in many cases, but not at all in the same league as iOS.
