I first really did not like the new 4 square update. Mainly because I originally thought that they did away with the check in button. I tried right flicking through the opening screen, and was not able to find a check in button. Then I tried searching the screen just by touching the screen.
Then I touched the screen in the center right above the home button, and there was the old check in button. Once I double tap the check in button, the next screen is just like the old one that list all of the nearby places. If for some reason 4 square is not updating the list of places to choose from when you changed your position, then you can: right flick to the first place in the list, then do a three finger pull down. This refreshes the list of places to choose from. Remember, I am not talking about the list of places on the opening screen, but the list of places after you double tap the check in button. Again, the only way I found to get to the check in button, is by touching the screen right above the home button. Flicking does not work for me. I hope this helps. What do you think of the new layout? I was in a restaurant this evening, and the app said that I was still in a place two blocks away that i had left an hour before. To get it to see where I was, I had to actually type the name of the place in the search box. What’s going on? Andy I'm not wearing a diaper, so don't try to change me. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
