Hi

Hmmm, I have an iPhone 5 and if the prongs to the plug aren't plugged into an
electrical outlet, just connecting my phone to the charging cable doesn't turn
on my phone..? I don't have the latest IOS installed, so maybe this could be
why I'm not experiencing this. I have noticed that if I unplug my phone from
the wall outlet before disconnecting the charger from the phone, when I unplug
the charging cable from the phone will turn itself on. This behaveral that I'm
experiencing is to be expected, because the phone for a very short time after
unplugging it from an electrical outlet retains some electrical charge, so my
phone is discharging its extra electrical charge
