I have not read every message on this thread but one reason why I will keep a Stream or something like it is battery life. When I can, I run batteries down to 5% or so before I charge them. Earlier today was charging my phone and I was doing housework. I had Victor in my pocket so I could read while the phone was charging.
I am not going to buy a new Victor until either the wireless is operational with BARD and Bookshare or when my old one dies. Until then I see no purpose to buying a new one. However because I'm a technogeak I still can't wait to do everything on the iPhone or iPad. On a slightly different reading topic, lately I've been switching reading the same Audible audio book between the iPhone and iPad and the syncing works awesome between the 2. If I'm at home I use the iPad and if I'm out on the bus and waiting around I use the iPhone and I don't lose my place. -- Raul A.
