Hi all, I also believe it's a personal choice and mine is because I've been listening to Freedom Scientific's podcasts for years now and have been following Jonathan since the days of BBS's and love his cool calm and concise way of explaining things. His background in radio serves him well not to mention that he is one of us.
I'm glad I had the chance to pre-order and save 50% but, had I missed the pre-ordering period, I would gladly have paid the regular price because I am confident that it will be professionally done. I'm one of these people who hates to pay a little for something and then find out that I have to spend more to go for the big guns anyway and spend more money. My past experience is my teacher. I think it's really a matter of what makes the feature come most alive. For example, I'm producing a tutorial on iTunes Radio, but am listing all the accessibility changes I can find in a blog post. I'd personally prefer to read as well, especially when it's that or listen to some podcast that was poorly organized and has a lot of verbiage not needed to get a point across. Yes, there is the fast forward button, but unless it's a file, or set of files, which allow you to jump past all that, you could be wasting a lot of time. I think it's possible that you can do a good job at both, or a terible job at either. I've never heard anything produced by Fadora Outlier, so I'll be interested to see what they have to offer.
