Les You’re right – the Australian has always been my favourite and for some reason the compact voice sounds almost identical to the HQ voice but without the clipping. However in iOS7 it seems that the compact Australian voice now suffers from clipping too. The English voice, however, sounds totally different between compact and HQ and I must have this one set for Siri otherwise it doesn’t recognise my voice so well – so I’m glad I sorted it as Siri would otherwise sound like a complete disaster.
