I did uninstall and reinstall. I had camera off in settings for money reader. When I initially opened it, I got the message about not using it for counterfeit and so forth. I tapped on continue, and I was never asked about allowing camera access, it just closed again. It only opens and closes immediately.
I think I’ll just use eyenote for now. The thought of a total reset is too much think about today. It might look better in the morning. Thanks everyone for your good ideas. I’ll let you know if I try a reset, and if that resolves the problems. If so and you find the phone is sluggish with iOS 8 you might want to consider doing a full restore. I would do a backup, but first set up as a new phone and see how the responsiveness is. You could maybe add money reader and see if it works. If everything is working well you could restore from your backup. If once again the phone becomes sluggish then maybe something got corrupted and it’s time to set up as a new phone again and then to start from scratch putting back apps, resync your media and so on. I would make sure you remove it from the app switcher first, then delete and reinstall and see if this fixes the problem. It is working for me as well and in fact I have the feeling it’s faster/more responsive in iOS 8, but that might just be perception. In the list of apps, find Money Reader and see if it is on or off. 3. If it is off, double tap to turn it on. This will let the app access the camera; it sounds like it might not have that permission right now.
