If I recall correctly BLP demonstrated an energy balance of only 2 in the
bomb calorimeter.  I presume everything else has been fantastical
extrapolation.  The previous results could have easily been titanium
burning.   I got some pretty bright light with Ti and a spot welder with or
without water present.
