I think despite being intuitive, this faux n concept is also wrong. It is (1) an unsustainable state due to Heisenberg supplied energy , i.e. quantum uncertainty, (2) is based on the flawed notion the electron sustains a particle existence instead of a wavelike existence, and (3) does not result in a bond with the nucleus strong enough to allow the nucleus to "travel" into a high electrostatic high field without breaking the bond.
