This is just another "welcher weg" experiment. Spin flipping is a
statistical observational event not a continuum event where a
particle is "rolled over" in a Newtonian fashion. Like all the
other welcher wegs, it shows that as soon as you can determine which
way the particle went you get wave function collapse. It has
nothing to do with energy as far as I can see. Also, the uncertainty
principle *is* more general than the ability to measure position and
momentum - position and momentum is just one pair of many pairs
conjugate variables similarly having mutual combined constraints.

In any event this does not answer how that big wave got crammed in
that small space and still survived without wave function collapse.
