This has been an interesting pro/con argument as rcently expressed by Jed and Jones.
It's always makes for interesting debate when these two spar with each other on Votex. What personally goes through my mind is whether the petroleum cartel (both companies and respective countries) posses the intelligence and foresight to behave as dynamically as Jones seems to predict. Jed has expressed his doubts. Jed cites plenty of examples to back his opinion as to why one should not expect them to adapt, that in fact in many cases they are essentially incapable of doing so.
