No one is in charge of language. You cannot compel a change in terminology,
except in rare cases of highly technical words, such as unit of measure, and
for that matter most people still use the terms "cc" and "centigrade" even
though NIST has officially eliminated them.

That is your conclusion. You have every right to your opinion. But most
experts in this field disagree with you. They are reasonably certain that
cold fusion is fusion. They think that with the Pd-D system, deuterons fuse
to form helium.

Since that is what they think, it is reasonable for them to go on calling it
cold fusion. Although as it happens most of them prefer "LENR."
