I was referring to the fact that the steam is condensing and not just loosing heat slowly along the entire distance.
The manifold section of pipe is very short compared to the length of the hose from the eCat, and the (effective) length inside the heat exchanger.

Cantwell's simulation showed little condensation in the hose.
