Officially his WIPO application is still pending AFAIK ... (# WO 92/10838) and the priority date is December 1990. He had already published the first addition of his CQM Theory by this time. He beat Piantelli and Focardi both to the patent office and to the publisher. Can you really say that they preceded him? Jones
