Try a good fly shop instead of a hardware store. The store in Woodland would have it for sure. As I remember, the stuff you want is specifically for putting on tips. It is very hard when cured.

The stuff they sell for consumer glue guns doesn't amount to much. It is quite soft when cured and can easily be pulled apart. I use it in the shop to temporarily tack things together.

The stuff I used before was an amber color, this is white ....
