I was discussing this with another lister, and I got the same advice from a fly shop, why not just use epoxy on the tip? Why would I ever want to take it off? Any ideas why you would want removable tips?

You can use glue gun glue, but quite frankly its the melting point that is the big deal. You want to remove the tip without melting the blank. The amber stuff meets that test, so does 5 minute epoxy, which is commonly used in the rod building trade. Rob --- Mountlake Terrace, WA
