Hi all
Actually, in addition to my earlier post, I should add that I'm
connected to broadband here in gusty Gero and every time I insert a
Cd, iTunes automatically logs into Gracenote to get track details.
All Apple info I can find suggests you need to select Advanced/Get CD
Tracknames for this to happen, but it's happening automatically.
There seems to be no way to disable this automatic response, as Paul
says.

I'm using iTunes 6.0.1 with OS X 10.4.3 on a Pbook 15" 1.67...

I haven't had your experiences with iTunes so can't comment on its
accuracy, only to say that the few Cds I have opened in iTunes have
successfully connected to Gracenote and downloaded Ok information.
