Had a Google search for Word crashing errors, and found this, which might be of help. I could be a conflict with something else left behind of a previous version, or it's bringing up a file that is corrupt on each start. But more so, perhaps something in a folder conflicting amount the Word versions. There are a lot of different preference files and folders with Office, so you have to make sure to delete or remove them all.
