Hi Roger ,
You have removed all the obvious files that can be seen !
Sometimes a damaged file can be on your hard drive and INVISIBLE .
It can be a duplicate of a normal working file .
There are a few applications that can make Invisible files visible .
BBedit comes to mind ,

also Invisibles !

Typically they make ALL invisible files visible , so you would have to
troll through
that massive list looking for a clue .
To help the inspection Usually you can list them by date or name or
path .
Three Macs means that possibly the same corrupted file has found it's
way on to
all 3 hard drives .

I have created new users so the problem can't be in the user
directory I believe
but in the main system but as to where??????

(Thanks for the reply off list. Just keeping this on list, so

follow, and someone may have extra ideas well.)
Had a Google search for Word crashing errors, and found this,
which might be
of help.
I could be a conflict with something else left behind of a
previous version,
or it's bringing up a file that is corrupt on each start.
But more so, perhaps something in a folder conflicting amount the
Word
versions.
There are a lot of different preference files and folders with
Office, so
you have to make sure to delete or remove them all.
