Parallels should use whatever printer is connected to your Mac, sharing the Mac drivers. There should be nothing to install from the Windows side. This has been the case since at least P2, as far as I can remember. Check the configuration of your Windows Virtual Machine. Make sure that your HP is selected in the "Printer Port" section of the Configuration dialog. You don't say what version of Parallels your are running, but in version 5 (which I presume you probably have since you bought with your iMac 27"), you go to Virtual Machine > Configure... then click the Hardware tab and select "Printer Port 1" and select your printer using the "Source:" menu.
