Here is an update on the Don Knotts Statue project.
First of all thanks to everyone who has sent in a donation. We really
appreciate it!
In order to guarantee a “Mayberry Days Unveiling” we need to have $7,000 in the
account by Monday afternoon. We are ½ way there. So if you were thinking about
sending in a donation now would be a good time. Remember, no amount is too
small. If everyone sent in $1 we would be in good shape.
The Don Knotts Statue Story was covered in at least 69 (as of last night)
newspapers across the US and Canada. We got a mention on Fox News and the John
Boy and Billy Show so the word is definitely getting out there.
We have a few auctions up on eBay right now including a vacation home near Mt.
Airy!! Fully furnished!! House AND land!!!
And don’t forget the raffle for the Mayberry Squad Car and matching golf cart
and trailer.
