Yes, Scott, clearly loading 98 on a contemporary hardware platform will work and more memory is fine; keeping in mind the 512 and 1gig+ problems. Lots of documentation for swap file management (google on "win98 memory"). The freezing is seen as a result of 512 or 1gig+; or issues with windows resources. The windows resources issue does not appear to be hackable. When you're out of heaps and stacks, your widgets are done. Although mostly such problems seem to be with opening new windows. Some hints at problems with closing windows.
