MOU, got cite for that licensing info? The licensing I've seen says you can not use your PC license on the Mac nor can use your PC version to qualify for upgrade pricing on the Mac versions. Adobe (at least in the past) would allow cross-platform upgrade pricing so you could go from whatever version of Photoshop you have on the PC to the Mae CS version for the upgrade price.
I've got Dreamweaver MX on my Mac. Cross platform Dreamweaver is not exactly the same interface. Nor one all the functions available on the Mac version. When the HP laptop I used have was in the shop for a heat problem I tried using my Mac as my primary computer. I was never so happy to see a computer return from the shop as I was when the HP retuned. Most frustrating 5 days I've spent with a computer in a long time. Never did get to hang of the Mac mail client or Entourage well enough to be satisfied with either one. even tried Thunderbird trying to got mail and newsgroups set up how I wanted it. I'm glad I have a Mac but l would not want it as my only system. In fact if I had to quit using Windows for some reason I suspect I'd end up on some version of Linux over a Mac as my primary platform. Cheryl D. Wise Certified Professional Web Developer Microsoft FrontPage MVP http://wiserways.com -----Original Message----- From: Ross Clutterbuck I personally would stick to the PC for your main development machine - you know how it works, you've got it all set up how you like it and the software functions the same on both platforms. Plus, Macromedia now allow you to use the same license on both platforms for their latest software versions (not entirely sure how it works but they say you can) so one license will serve both platforms. You can still learn the Mac anyway, but for the time being it may hinder your productivity if you're unfamiliar with how the whole thing works. Also PCs are easier to fix than Macs - Windows may crash every 30 seconds but at least it gives you helpful error messages...hang on OSX crashes if you breathe on the keyboard too hard hmmm ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
