Well, I was referring to just this topic. Once again we're back to I
don't have time, money or the inclination to move away from what I
have and am used to. I just want to be able to use my Remote
Assistance with my Mom. That's it. Thanks for the other suggestions
but I'll settle for just being able to do what I need to do w/what I have.
Well, if you insist on sticking with "what you have" and "what you're
used to", then that comes with all the things you're complaining
about, it's par for the course unfortunately.
A: "My car is terribly unreliable, it's falling apart and breaking
down all the time, and the security is about as effective as having a
big red 'my locks don't work, steal me' sign on the car".
B: "Here, use this car, it's much more reliable, much more secure,
doesn't break down... oh and it's free"
A: "But I don't want to change cars, I want to keep using mine, I just
don't want all these problems".
B: "...."
The only thing I can suggest is ditch MSN messenger (it's shite) and
use Trillian or Gaim (both of which will happily let you use the MSN
network) and use VNC to replace the "remote assistance" thing you're
talking about (I'm assuming "remote assistance" just lets you take
control of their desktop, which is exactly what VNC is for).
