I have had no problems with SP 2 and for tablet pcs at least there are significant benefits to installing SP 2 since it is more of an upgrade than there was on my Mac from 10.2 to 10.3 (and didn't cost me $129 either). Toshiba did release updated drivers after SP 2 came out which I have installed. The ones available before still worked but there were other benefits to installing the newer video drivers for example. I just wish Toshiba would release some newer video drivers since these are version 44.61 and the current nVidia drivers are 91.something but wont't install on laptops and the laptops to go hacked versions don't provide screen rotation.
However, I don't like programs to "phone home" so I have WGA blocked at the firewall level. I tried the upgrade on a fresh install after reformat and it wouldn't upgrade. I believe I mentioned that. Besides, all I heard is how people have problems w/their stuff afterwards. Pretty sure it's hardware stuff as I recall but I'm in no mood nor do I have the time to ask for more problems than I already have. ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [email protected] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
