We scored. We picked up two brand new 15" color monitors for $98 each. It
was near pandemoneum there last night - local news crews and radio stations
were camped out in the parking lot, and when they opened the doors at
midnight a wave of geeks rushed the door like women at a Bloomingdale's
shoe sale! They had 5 gig hard drives for $100, CD Rom drives for $10 and
a whole slew of computer accessories and software for .98-cents ea.
Here's the highlight of the evening: My husband, who tends to be pretty
boisterous, was in line with me waiting to get in the store. About 10
minutes before the store is to open he yells out at the top of his lungs
"Hey! How many people are here to buy a copy of Windows98? Raise your
hand!" There are about 350 people lined up outside the store - nobody
raises their hand. :)
