(1) Suz was to the point ... and, IMO, not out of line.
(2) The questions you wrote suggested a naive writer. When posing
questions of a general nature to any listserv -- and it's your FIRST
post-- it is always advisable to list what you have already tried and to
provide info about your background.
(3) AOL.COM e-mail addresses do not a professional image make.
(4) Before you try to "be" a designer, you might actually design some
sites. For free. Get a portfolio. Learn the ins-and-outs of HTML. There
was nothing in your post to suggest that these steps had been taken.
(5) Finally -- posts live on-and-on-and-on ... and you never know who's
going to be lurking on a list -- so politeness truly pays off in the
long run. As does good netiquette.
